Dear Members and Associates,

I welcome you all to this financial year 2010-11. The financial year 2009-10 ended on a satisfactory note for Greater Bank. The Bank recorded an increase in business mix from Rs. 1,844 crore to Rs. 2,027 crore during the financial year 2009-2010. Deposits with the Bank have increased by 10% to reach Rs. 1,209 crore. Advances also grew by 10% to Rs. 818 crore. 

Our Malad Branch has been shifted to a new and spacious premises at Sarvoday Bhavan 4, Ground Floor, Ramchandra Lane Extn., Malad West, Mumbai – 400 064 on 22nd March, 2010. The inauguration of the new premises was done at the hands of Shri Jiten Mody (Chairman - Adarsh Education Society) and its ATM machine at the hands of Dr. Vinay Jain (Managing Director - Witty International School). The guests complimented the services provided by the Bank to its customers and wished for success of Bank.

The Bank expects to be a financial super market- offering the entire range of financial services to meet the customers' needs. Bank already offers value added services like Demat, Insurance, Foreign Exchange, Franking, Utility Bill Payment services, Mutual Fund, PAN and Locker facility etc. These services are receiving good response from our customers. We have also deputed Customer Relationship Executives (CREs) at all branches who are specially trained to understand, facilitate & deliver superior banking services to our customers.

Shri. Mohan S. Darekar Staff Representative Director has retired from Bank’s service after putting in 32 years of services and in this vacancy, the staff Union has nominated Shri Prabhakar R. Chavan as Staff Representative Director on the Board of the Bank.

Our Bank celebrated its Founder’s Day on 6th February 2010 at Shree Manav Seva Sangh Hall, Sion West, Mumbai. On the eve of the Founders Day, Bank remembered the Founders of the Bank & paid homage to them. All cultural and entertainment programmes were organized on this occasion with active participation of our staff members and their children. The Bank felicitated meritorious children of the members as well as Bank staff for their outstanding performance at the SSC and HSC examination for the academic year 2009 with a cash award of Rs. 5,000/- each and a Merit Certificate.

With the closing of Schools and Colleges for summer vacation, I hope all of you have made some plans to make the most of this summer vacation despite your busy schedules. Our holiday home facility at Lonavala would give you and your family the much needed gateway this summer.
